What’s it all about?

The Pod

The Nature Between Us is a series of relatable conversations about our environment. It was created by Tessa de Josselin in 2020 as a way of continuing the climate discussion, even though we couldn’t gather irl and the enviro news cycle had gone quiet. It was her way of maintaining momentum while the world stopped still.

With no topic too dense, it delves into the many facets of our modern relationship with the environment. Such as food production, waste, city living, energy, politics, land management, environmental law, fashion, health…..and of course - climate change.

Environmental issues are layered, complex and politicised, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Tessa has found the biggest hurdle is understanding the what, why, and how you can help. Thats the main aim with The Nature Between Us - to tease out the bigger picture and get people talking about the solutions, because they exist.

The Showrunner / Host

Tessa de Josselin is an Australian actress, voiceover artist, podcaster and environmental communicator. She grew up on Garigal Land (Narrabeen) in northern Sydney, and has been a keen surfer from a young age. This early love for the ocean has translated into a passion for environmental care in her adult years. As an actress she’s graced our screens, radio and cinemas for the past decade, with many knowing her from Home and Away.

Alongside performance Tessa also holds a Bachelor of Arts/Sciences (Geosciences) and is currently finishing a Masters of Environment and Climate Emergency, taking a special interest in the potential of seaweed in the blue carbon conversation. She's worked as an Environmental Planner with the NSW Department of Planning, an education ranger with Centennial Parklands, and is an active member of the Environmental Institute of Australia.

Always asking questions, Tessa hopes that The Nature Between Us is an invitation to join her in understanding what’s fuelling the climate crisis, whats at stake, and how we can help.
